Please share your memories!

Thank you for all your stories! Keep posting your memories. We love to read about how Ali and Craig touched your lives.

We are compiling stories and memories of both Ali and Craig for the families. Please post specific memories and experiences you had with one or both of them. As many as you like! This way we can preserve everyone's relationships with and love for Craig and Ali, especially for Ali and Jeremy's children. I will be copying your posts into the books. If you know someone who might like to share a story, please forward them this blog address.

The day of...

On Saturday, July 19, 2008 Craig, his wife Kathy, their daughter Ali and her three children were on their way to Utah for a family reunion. A roll-over accident near the town of Rupert, Idaho immediately took the lives of Craig and Ali, but spared Kathy and all three children. Kathy sustained injuries including a fractured collarbone and many painful bruises. The children suffered only minor scrapes. Craig's sons Brian and Mike, along with Brian's two daughters, were traveling in a different vehicle ahead of Craig and Kathy and were not involved in the accident.

Love and Prayer

I want to extend my sincere, heartfelt gratitude to all who have prayed for the Craig and Kathy Walther and Jeremy and Ali Van Gieson families this week. We have felt your love and we are aware of the thousands of petitions to our Heavenly Father for peace on our behalf. This week has been more than difficult; it has been horrendous. But as we make it through each day we see more and more evidence of your love for us, which we know to be an extension of love God has for each of us. Please continue to pray for our families, as we will need the strength your love and support give us in the coming days and weeks. I am also extremely grateful to those or you who have reached out to Jeremy and Ali's beautiful children and remembered them in your prayers.
